The aim of our managed service is to take the burden and hassle of waste management away. We do this by working in partnership with you, analysing your needs and developing cost-effective solutions based on a fully-managed service and environmentally-friendly disposal. We add value by transferring knowledge through training so that you can manage your own internal responsibilities effectively.
There are four key stages:

Assessment
A trained, fully-accredited assessor works with you to analyse your waste streams, evaluate staff knowledge and review your internal policies, controls and procedures. The assessment is based on our experience of working with similar organisations and uses our own benchmarks developed in line with industry best practice. This comprehensive review gives you a clear, objective picture of your strengths and weaknesses. It identifies potential problems and helps you to focus on critical areas for improvement.
Strategy development
The assessment forms the basis for a strategy document that details our proposals for the policy and implementation of a controlled, cost-effective waste management programme. Your individual programme will be developed by specialists and will give you a complete managed solution that meets current and future needs. The strategy document includes:
- proposals for implementation
- forecast of costs
- training recommendations for ongoing compliance and environmental protection
- client and CD Waste Management responsibilities
Implementation
With our fully-managed service, you can be confident that your waste will be transported, treated, recycled or disposed of promptly and efficiently within current waste management legislation. Being an independent company, we are independent, we can select the right contractors and specialists to suit your waste streams and service needs. We use our expertise in outsourcing, project management and supply chain management to optimise all aspects of the contractors' operations so that you have a single point of contact and accountability.
We set service levels to meet your individual requirements and monitor performance in line with quality standards. We also audit all third-party disposal sites to ensure their compliance. One of our project managers will visit your premises regularly to ensure waste is being handled correctly and to advise you if any adjustments to strategy are necessary. For example, we may need to make adjustments to ensure that you remain compliant with changing legislation.
